How it works

The Alumni Gifting operating guide

A plain-language walkthrough of how the platform moves a school community from first contact to student profiles, recruiter governance, and alumni giving.

1. Schools activate the official community

A school representative starts with Grady, confirms the school from the national directory, verifies email, and becomes the first school administrator after the claim workflow is complete.

2. Students verify and wait for school approval

Students enter through Grady, identify their school, verify identity and email, and are added to the school only after approval by authorized school staff.

3. Grady completes the student profile conversationally

Once approved, the student returns to Grady. Grady asks one clear question at a time, saves confirmed answers into structured profile records, and shows profile completion progress.

4. Staff manage rosters and approvals

School administrators, coaches, and club advisors manage students, activities, invitations, and approval decisions from role-specific dashboards.

5. Recruiters request controlled access

Recruiters do not freely browse private student information. They request access, provide credentials, and can be approved, denied, revoked, or expired according to school and platform rules.

6. Alumni and donors give with purpose

Alumni and donors can support schools, teams, clubs, campaigns, or other approved earmarks through the donation checkout, receipt, refund, and reporting workflow.
